About Trey Lockwood
Trey Lockwood is the youngest Lockwood son, which should explain him more than it does. He is quieter than the rest of that family, but quiet is not the same thing as gentle. Trey has no bedside manner. He says what is on his mind, lets the sentence land, and appears almost shy only after the damage has been assessed.
He is an artist photographer, which already makes him a statistical outlier in his own house. Composition matters to him. Timing matters to him. So does not sounding like he is begging to be understood, even when maybe he is.
Skye is intrigued by that. She meets him young, notices the eye before the posture, and later hires him at Flying Eagle to help develop film on weeknights and weekends. He becomes a useful pair of hands in the darkroom and a quietly unresolved question in the larger file.
Trey seems shy until he speaks plainly. Then he seems stoic until the next sentence lands a little too cleanly. It is possible he is both. It is also possible he is timing his words and waiting to see who blinks first.
